About Joanne

Joanne Lagasse is a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW), with Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary, a BSW from Dalhousie University, and a BA from the University of Alberta. She works with health-care professionals, military members and veterans, neurodivergent adults, and anyone determined to move through life’s harder chapters.

Joanne believes that many of the challenges we experience are connected to what has happened to us in life. Her current practice has a particular focus on Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), a specialized, trauma-focused approach that works with the nervous system’s responses to overwhelming experiences. She is Level 3 and S2 trained in DBR and also has extensive advanced training in EMDR and related trauma approaches. Her work is informed by Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, and narrative approaches. Warm and non-judgmental, she meets people where they are and works collaboratively toward meaningful change.
